Recently Repaired Watches

We are so proud of our Rolex specialist and Omega certified repairs that we thought we would share some of them with you.

Take a moment to look at these images we have taken . They show the results we can obtain when restoring your dial . AS you can see this dial was in pretty poor condition when it arrived at the workshop . Not only a dial that has some age but suffering from water ingress and damage . The watch may seem beyond satisfactory repair , sending the watch to cartier would result n a considerable bill which in this case our client wished to avoid . All is not lost ! I think you can see the results that can be achieved . Once restored this dial was joined with its serviced movement and returned to a very happy customer . We can restore most dials from most watch makes , please contact the workshop for details .

If you have ever wondered about having your watch dial restored then just take a look at these pictures. I do not think you will see a rolex submarined dial in a poorer state than the before image . All is not lost . Following restoration even this dial has been returned to a pristine condition ready to be fitted into its watch . Please contact us about this process we are only too happy to help .

This is a lovely vintage Omega watch with a 9ct gold case . The client wanted this watch restored and serviced so as to return this fine timepiece to its former glory . One of our watchmakers at our Omega certified workshop fully serviced the mechanism whilst our case department refurbished the case. You will also notice the restoration of the dial which completes the repair and shows the watch to its full .

An interesting couple of photographs . This Zenith El primero was received at the workshop this week to be serviced . I thought you would like to see a shot of the movement dis-assembled and also a look at the movement in its assembled condition . Remember that when servicing your watch its taken apart in the same way . We inspect each part before ultrasonic cleaning in a bath of specialised chemicals which de - grease , clean and rinse . Very few customers appreciate the skill, time and care taken to professionally service a quality watch. There are no doubt some shortcuts that could be taken but as they say , you get what you pay for . Please do get in touch with us at the workshop, we welcome callers by phone and in person.

This is worth taking a look at . One of our watchmakers was working on this watch so I took a picture. This shows the kind of detail and precision to which our watchmakers need to work . This movement is from a TAG Heuer , cal 36 otherwise known as a Zenith El Primero. As part of the servicing this movement is completely disassembled , ultrasonically cleaned , inspected , lubricated at the correct points with the correct grade of lubricant . Only then is the watch reassembled for testing . I think looking at this picture you can see the amount of work, time and skill required to service a watch of this complexity. Lets hope the watchmaker got an early night last night !

We thought you might like this one ! We have been lucky enough to purchase this lovely Omega seamaster 300 vintage watch . This images show the restored watch in all its glory. The 552 calibre omega movement has been serviced by one of our watchmakers. We have refurbished the steel case and fitted a new , genuine , Omega plexi glass. Dating from 1968 this is considered a must for any true watch collector. Further images can be seen on our pre owned site . You may contact us if this watch is of interest , however, I cant guarantee we will part with it .

This Rolex recently received at the workshop. The owner has asked for the watch to be serviced and refurbished . The watch is not in any way in poor condition but I think you will see the difference when refurbished. Its worth considering that when servicing your watch this is the opportunity to opt for a refurbishment . Whilst servicing the movement will be removed from the case which allows the polishing technician time to work his magic. Also we always remove the movement when refurbishing so likewise a great time to have your watch serviced .

This photograph shows a Rolex steel Daytona dis assembled prior to refinishing. Notice the movement is removed from the case for its protection . Any heat or vibration can cause damage to the movement, there can be no short cuts with a customers valuable property. This way takes much longer but its the professional way. The photograph to the right shows the watch completed . One of the great watches I think you will agree.
